Auditions will consist of cold readings  from the script.


 Please bring a resume & headshot (if available), and list of conflicts to auditions.

  2. Audition dates and/or times are subject to change as each production approaches.
  3. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE diverse ethnic casting. 
  4. Sign up is available online below. You will be signing up for the date you wish to attend, to give us some expectation of group size.
  5. Audition forms are also available online below if you wish to fill it out and print it out ahead of time to bring with you.
  6. You will be expected to attend the entire session for the date you sign up for.
  7. Walk ins are welcome. 




Synopsis

 In his Upper East Side apartment, Michael is throwing a birthday party for Harold, a self-avowed "thirty-two-year-old, pockmarked, Jew fairy," complete with surprise gift: "Cowboy," a street hustler. As the evening wears on – fueled by drugs and alcohol – bitter, unresolved resentments among the guests come to light when a game of "Truth" goes terribly wrong. 

Cast of Characters

All Are Available.

 

  • Michael: (30 yrs old) A lapsed Catholic alcoholic who is self-destructive and undergoing psychoanalysis. He's the host of the birthday party and has a complex relationship with his friends. 
  • Donald: (28 yrs old) A friend who has moved away from the city and attempted to live a heterosexual life but is conflicted about his past. 
  • Larry and Hank: (29 & 32 yrs old) A couple who are in a relationship but have different views on monogamy. 
  • Emory: (33 yrs old) A flamboyant and theatrical character who revels in his homosexuality. 
  • Harold: Turning 32, Harold is worried about losing his youth and looks.  
  • Bernard: An African American man who still has feelings for a wealthy white boy he met when his mother worked as a maid.  
  • Alan: (30 yrs old) Michael's straight college roommate, who arrives at the party after calling Michael in tears. 
  • Cowboy: (22 yrs old) A male prostitute hired as a birthday gift for Harold. 

Rehearsal Schedule Information

Schedule Information

  Read Thru is Wednesday, May 7, 7:30pm

Rehearsals begin Monday, May 12. Rehearsals are Monday – Thursday, 7:30pm-10:30pm.

Tech Load In is Sunday, July 13, time TBD. Tech Sunday is an ALL-DAY event.
